Great Reunions and Stark Realities

It is very cool today with a few light showers--perfect for visiting my WV children. Had a great time with both families. Met 4 generations of women at Phillipina's home and most of her siblings. Our boy Chikonzero lives alone with his maternal grandmother, Alefa. She remembered Jon and Joshua and asked how they are doing.
We learned that most families in the villages only have enough food for one meal a day. We are praying for good rains to come in the next month--not too hard, just steady through March.  Back at the guest house for lunch, I was really touched as we thanked God for our food. In the States we take our food so for granted.
This afternoon we have a break, so we will pack, prepare dinner (a challenge since the power is out) and rest. Tomorrow we return to Lilongwe where we will meet with Pastor Tad Juma of the Youth Dept. and Louise with FTS.
I found out from Louise this morning that Mphatso got malaria. She is supposed to go to Scotland for a speaking engagement this weekend, so please pray for healing.
